Remote work has shaken up various markets, from tourism to welfare offers for companies, with particular interest in experiential activities and life in villages.

When we talk about smart working and remote working, the problem is always the same: work-life balance. In the post-pandemic training market, there is still a lack of practice that is difficult to teach in the classroom and that can deal with emotional states such as anxiety, burnout, depression, insomnia and lack of concentration. This problem is perceived directly not only by workers but also by companies, which today are increasingly sensitive to people’s well-being. Everyone agrees on how much a harmonious and collaborative climate affects staff productivity. Unfortunately, training alone, as important as it is, is not enough to find the right work-life balance. We need places that stimulate us on a path to rediscovering and balancing ourselves.

These statements are confirmed by a recent survey carried out on a sample of 15,000 subordinate workers, in which 88% of those interviewed confirm concrete benefits in carrying out their work in “workation” mode (working in holiday locations); furthermore, 62% express a considerable improvement in their quality of life, so much so that they say that “working flexibly in any location is more important than the same pay“, 47%.
This is today’s scenario: the most sensitive companies are looking for experiential offers for their staff in their welfare programmes.

Another very interesting fact that emerged from the research results concerns the “place“: people would like to experience travel and work. Italy ranks first as a destination for this kind of experience with 55% (38% in southern Italy and 24% in the islands), while non-EU destinations (23%) and Europe with 22%.
